Laem Sor Pagode

This unique pagoda is located directly on Laem Sor Beach, making it a fantastic photo opportunity. Its surface is covered with cream-colored mosaic tiles, but under the shimmering sunlight, the pagoda appears to be made of pure gold.

Na Muang Waterfalls

The Na Muang Waterfalls 1 and 2 are the most famous on the island, surrounded by lush jungle. The first waterfall is 18.5 meters high and flows into a natural pool, offering a perfect spot for swimming or a refreshing dip. In contrast, Waterfall 2 cascades down from an impressive height of 80 meters. At the base of the second waterfall, there is a Safari Park where we’ll make another stop during the tour.

monk mummy

At Kunaram Temple, you will see the mummified body of a monk. What makes this particularly fascinating is that the monk was never preserved in any way. Instead, his body naturally dried out and has not decayed. Por Lung Daeng, the monk, spent much of his life meditating and is believed to have developed prophetic abilities as a result. His will even stated that he wished to remain for future generations if his body did not decay.

Magic Garden

Next, the Island Safari for cruise passengers takes us into the island’s lush hinterland. The Magic Garden, located 600 meters above sea level, lies in the heart of the jungle. Surrounded by dense rainforest, it features a small waterfall that feeds a stream winding through the serene garden landscape.
This enchanting place was created by Tar Nim (Uncle Nim) at the age of 77 as his late-life masterpiece. He sculpted numerous Buddhist statues, including larger figures, musicians, dancers, and more, which greet you upon arrival. Beyond these prominent features, countless hidden details have been intricately crafted into the garden, waiting to be discovered.

Mountain Buddha

The 12-meter-high Buddha statue is located at the Teepangkorn Temple complex. Nestled in the jungle at 635 meters above sea level, it is the highest Buddha statue on Koh Samui. From the temple’s viewing platform, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views stretching over Chaweng and Lamai, all the way to the sea.

Rubber Tree Plantation

During the Island Safari, we’ll stop at a rubber tree plantation. Here, we’ll show you how liquid latex is extracted from the tree bark. Using a special cutting technique, the latex flows in a spiral down the tree and collects in a small container—often a halved coconut shell. This fascinating process provides insight into one of Koh Samui’s traditional industries.

Lunch and Beach Stay

From the jungle back to civilization, you’ll be treated to a delicious lunch. At a beachfront restaurant in Bang Po, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared Thai set menu. After lunch, take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the sea or simply relax on the beautiful sandy beach.

Return Transfer to the Pier

With the beach stay, our “Island Safari for Cruise Passengers” comes to an end. We will ensure you are returned to the pier in plenty of time to comfortably board your tender boat back to the ship.
